Picked up my P.A., but I need some advice...

Went down to Fastlane and picked up my P.A. By the way, these guys totally took care of me and stuck with me regardless of my endless amount of stupid questions. Very cool cats!

Ok, I need a bit of advice regarding storage. I am building a storage rack, but could sure use some helpful hints / ideas / suggestions / pictures from the BWE sages. I don't want to end up building something that won't properly store my new sled. As of right now, I have it on two sawhorses, spaced about 6 feet apart. I have an old rack, but it won't hold the P.A. considering the size and weight.

Fellow Pro Angler owners, please post up some pics and suggestions. Thanks!

What does fastlane recommend ?

In my haste I forgot to ask. I guess I was too busy geeking out on all the cool shit this thing can do that it slipped my mind. But thanks for the response.

Forgive my possible ignorance on this, but is Fastlane a "no no" on this site?

One of the two deadly sins on BWE.

It's just that Fast Lane and OEX are competitors, and this site is run/owned/managed by OEX. Granted, you live down here, and the OEX here doesn't carry Hobie, since Fastlane is this areas official Hobie dealer, but OEX will deliver them for free from their other store down here.

But no. It's not a "no no"

The other is to have an avatar sexier than Jors

Is it okay to talk about Fastlane? yeah you are good. There are at least two guides here sponsored by them. The reason it is okay is because shop patronage runs deep. This sport is an addiction and you will always return to the dealer who treats you fair. Take me for example, I will always keep my allegiance to Ric and Drew at OEX Oceanside, you will find that we all have our favorites. BWE accepts this, they are enlightened in that way.

Well, aside for the self-inflicted brain damage I created, can someone offer a pointer or two on a storage rack? I don't have the space in my garage to hang one. Is storing it just flat on the ground ok, or will that cause any sort of damage?

Sorry if I stepped on toes. Didn't mean any insult to the guys from OEX.

I made a rolling rack, just a tad taller than my truck's bed height. This makes it super easy to load and unload. Right now it has only the two areas supporting the yak, I'm not to worried about it getting damaged. I plan on adding 3" pvc tubing between the two supports to help distribute the weight more.

I found some good ideas on the hobie forums for PA owners.

OEX rocks, hell I drove up to see Andy from San Diego to buy and to pick up! nothing against fastlane, I did buy a yak from them once a long time ago.

I have only posititive things to say about OEX and their crew!

That's what I do. I just use the packaging material that the PA was originally wrapped in as a pad to store it on. Simple.

Same here mine is stored on a blanket on the floor in a room.
