tip for vacuum packing

Learned this one from a friend in Alaska. Before vacuum packing your fish or meat, simply wrap your product in cling wrap, then do your vacuum deal. It really adds more time to having a quality product in the end. Try it out! TP

what is the benefit of doing this other than it "adds more time to having quality product in the end"?

Thanks in advance

Instead of having only 1 layer protecting your game from freezer burn, there are 2. I've done vacuum packing side by side with shrink wrap and without and there is a huge difference between the 2. Also, I'm using a pro II foodsaver.

Been doing this method for quite some time now. Wouldn't freeze fish or meat any other way!:drool5:
