Well, Nelz's and my plan worked perfectly, except for actually catching the fish. Got escorted to our meeting place by my dolphin friends to find no bait anywhere. Nelz and I were looking around when he shouts "boil" and immediately tosses a well placed iron. That didn't work out right, but we proceeded to chase them around with multiple bumps but no other hook-ups. Then we either lost them or they disappeared. Looked like good grade of fish. Figured that was the shot for the day and called it early. Try again tomorrow AM. Might have to go for rockfish just to pull on something.

ahh well.. :cry:
it's DEAD out at my usual spots..
bonitos and calicos crashing anchovies..
water more brown today
kelp cutter doing it's thing at the NW corner, will leave a mess of broken salad to deal with the next few days...
