Lowrance scupper hole transducer on a revo?

I am shopping for a new FF the Lowrance DSI models impressed me. The problem is that the transducer actually needs to be in the water. Has anyone tried this on a Hobie Revo? If so, how accurate are they since the scupper holes are in the back. So tempted to pick one up tomorrow

My prowler has a scupper hole transducer mount in the rear. I am very happy with it. If anything my FF seems more sensitive and sharper.
I used the transducer that came with the FF. I ground off the bracket and made it flat, then epoxied it in there, I was going to purchase the throu hole transducer, but the gentlemen at bass pro shop informed me I could grind my down and make it fit. I have a hummingbird though.

Just know that if you get a Side Imaging model, you don't not get it all in one package. You have to spend another $599 on the structure scan for it. It is something to think about.
