fish report j street

1 Attachment(s)
Was fishing out of j street. Fished the incoming tide. Overcast. Lots of pelicans busting in fish just north of the shipyards. Seen small 6 inch bait leaping out of the water. Threw a kroc and hooked up with two halis. Fished in the channels and a few small spotties. Man lizardo fish are everywhere. All the spots that spotties had seem to be taken over by the lizards.

It seems like lizards are everywhere these days. Thanks for the report.

Thanks for the report. I fish j street often and it produces good. J street can produce a variety of species certain times of the year.

Thanks for the report. The lizards used to keep to the deeper water but seam to be moving shallower and shallower. Mike

Hey Jeff you got a good recipe for these things, and also what about one for lizzard fish. Then maybe we could hold a couple lizzard fish tourneys and knock out their population or??????

I doubt that bonefish would taste good and I have never tried to cook one.

I actually did try to cook a lizard fish once and it was decent not great like a sculpin but could probably be made to be at least good with the right recipe.

I think if you cut in into chunks and made it into gumbo it would be ok. Just put a lot of other shrimp or fish in there too! lol

Thanks Jeff, you just sparked an idea.

Hey Jeff! I would absolutely be interested in joining you to fish for bones! Just say when and I'm there! Cheers!

I typically use a fly rod but always bring my regular rod too.

The fly fishing can be very good. Good to bring ghost shrimp if you are targeting bonefish.

Bonefish are not hard to catch but sometimes they can be hard to find.

Here and there. On weekends sometimes I can't get out in the mornings due to giving tennis lessons. During the week on certain days I can get out.

Lizard tacos

:D . I am in.

Asked my wife to look up recipes for the lizard fish. She is Registered Nurse. She told me they are known to have parasites and it is advised not to eat them no matter how well they are cooked.
