Learn something new yesterday.

Some may know, and some may not.
To find the spline in a ultra light, light and medium light ect, fishing blanks. You don?t have to push down on the blank, like you do with the heavy blanks that flip and roll in your fingers. With the light blanks you won't feel the spline pushing down and rolling it. It will all feel the same. But you will feel the spline just holding the very tip and letting it roll between your fingers, with the butt on the ground up against something, and not
pushing down.
BTW light rod blanks can snap pushing down to hard.
Thankyou mud hole :reeling:🕳 for your great customer service.👍

I usually roll them on smooth flat ground with a light bend in them to detect the spine.

Mudhole has a great selection, but price-wise they are premium cost expensive. Many of the local stores in my area order from them and charge the same amount as their catalog. :reel:

I put 2 because one always is not prefect with gaps especially at the end of guides and I don't take the time to file the end flat.

If you can find someone who wraps rods on a regular basis and piggyback off their order, it helps with costs.

I have ordered through these vendors in the past. Occasionally they have discount sales.
