Many people launch at the coast guard station. 3" swim baits fished super slow seems to be the ticket. good luck and post up the report.

x2 Launch from Coast Guard station. In addition to swimbaits, I've had success dropshotting zoom flukes, deeper diving crankbaits (e.g. luckycraft dd120) and spinnerbaits. Good luck!

who's fishing newport this saturday? my plan was to fish pv this saturday but i think the waves are kinda high.

I'm heading out tomorrow. Don't know yet if I'm fishing in or out the harbor. Not even sure as to where I'll launch... game time decision.
