Fillet knife
Looking to get a fillet knife soon. What do you guys use? What knife keeps a good edge after sharpening?

Dexter knives are good quality knives for a reasonable price...don't forget the forschners!!! excellent knives and not really that expensive either.

Victorinox makes a good knife. And my old Wooden handle rapala is still sharpening great.

I bought a 12" one of these, but can not find it. I took it to Cedros Island, to see if the staff there likes it, but they did not use it.

Thanks for the input guys. I was looking into the victorinox too and end up getting the dexter-russel Tony linked to. The bubba knife looks pretty cool though.

I have a forschner and a bubba flexible both are excellent. When I started seeing a little bit of pitting on my 10year old forschner I sent it back to Victorinox they immediately replaced it with no questions!

I just bought a Dexter Russell. Two, in fact. Shipping was the same for a knife or two knives plus a scabbard. I got the standard 8" high carbon and a 3" bait knife. Both are serving me very well.

I used the 9" Bubba Blade last season and it worked great for tuna. The Forschners work just as well, just lacking the grip.

Most of the Dexter russle and forshner victonox are comercial grade knifes made to be used hard and sharpened or stealed easily. You see them in fish processing plants. They're always a good choice. Mike
