San diego overnight party boats

Has anyone gone on one lately? If you have, can you please tell me if it has been fishing in U.S. waters? I have noticed that they are still charging for the mexican fishing permit, but I am assuming that most boats are fishing in U.S. waters.

These days if they are going to Mexican waters, they will ask you to bring your passport.

If they say "no passport required for this trip", that means you should be in US waters.

That was what I was thinking, but why are they still charging for the mexican permits? I know the permits are marked up, but you are charging people for a product they do not need.

I get my yearly Mexican license at Save on Tackle. It's worth it if you plan to do more than one trip a year. I don't know what the boats charge for the Mexican license for the trip but it's probably almost as much as the yearly one from Save On.

Depends on the boat... If you can keep 2 bluefin, your in US waters, if you can keep 0, your fishing Mexican waters.

Going out on one next weekend. You only need a passport if you're fishing in Mexican waters within 12 miles of shore. So I'm guessing that if they say it requires a Mexican permit they might be out further than that.

Cattle boats are horrible. For me it's either 6 pack or the Indy Excel or Intrepid.
