San Diego Bay NIGHT Tournament

HELP PLEASE, I need your input on this PROPOSED TOURNAMENT. Ideas and suggestions and possible help later. Any interest.

San Diego Night, Knight Tournament, Check in time starting at 4 pm Friday afternoon, Launch time 6 pm or after from the Shelter Island Launch ramp. CPR, total length of your 3 longest game fish. You must weigh in before or be in line at 7 am Saturday morning. Launch and landing must be from the launch ramp at Shelter Island.. You may not go outside of a line drawn between the tip of Zuniga Jetty and the tip of Point Loma.

Kayak, canoe, or any other human powered craft. If you need a motor your handicap must be worse then my amputated foot to qualify. I will fish a Hobie Compass. The breakfast will start at 8 am. Volunteers will be needed. Pay out ofter Breakfast. I need your input on everything.

Proposed Date June 21 launch, landing and weigh in 22 June. GIVE ME OTHER DATES.

I would think a Mexican Burrito Scramble would be good for breakfast and maybe some fresh Tamales. Coffee and cold drinks. I do not think beer is legal there but we can check.

We could make it winner take ALL or winner gets half and maybe Heroes on the Water or another charity gets half or all. Please give me your thoughts only if interested in attending. San Diego really has ONE San Diego kayak tournament in MISSION BAY. Lets start an annual in the Big Bay..

WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS?

How do you hold a tournament if you are NOT a non profit?

makobob 03-28-2019 09:35 AM

HOW DO WE run a tournament if we are NOT a non profit? All collected monies paid to winner or Charity. NO monies taken for food, drinks, admin costs or anything else. Any one help me out here with the right information?

Thanks, As to photos we could take them straight of your camera, just a few minutes moore. Keep in touch, might be able to do these monthly with Day, Night, Lobster formats. ALL depends on you guys. Without participation it all is for nothing, COMMUNITY support makes or breaks these things. There is nothing in it for me, but my time spent getting things going. TOO much apathy in this world.
