Do you put the bait tank on top or below the Catch Bag? 😊...

Looks good!

Can you give us the length and width please and BTW HAPPY BIRTHDAY Andy!
Just keep on fishing young man.

Iceman 11-19-2015 09:31 AM

Looks like a one or the other prospect. Be great for the "smaller" stuff like bonito or rockfish.

NEW Hobie kayak catch bag! These are constructed of the highest quality materials on the market: half-inch closed cell foam, vinyl coated polyester and YKK zippers. They’ll keep your catch cold and insulated all day, even in very hot conditions. At approximately 70 qt., the catch bag has three handles for easy carrying and comes with three d-rings on each side for tying down to the kayak. The top has an adjustable bungee cord for storing additional gear. The dimensions are 36 inches long, 8 inches tall, and the bag tapers from 10 inches wide in the front to 20 inches wide in the back.

Happy Birthday Andy. What do you guys have in a used tandem not too expensive, I'm not able to spend Hobie dollars yet.

Iceman 11-19-2015 10:29 AM

Harry,

I may be selling off a couple older rental tandems that I need to repair first for $200, I also have a couple NEW Perception Pescador tandems that normally sell for $600, right now $100 off that price.

Andy, are those kayaks seaworthy for La Jolla? Easy to set up for fishing?

Where can you buy one? Will it fit an outback?

Harry Hill 11-19-2015 09:05 PM

Andy, could I come down there Saturday and test drive one of those pescador tandems? How do they paddle solo?

Iceman 11-20-2015 08:19 AM

Harry, sure come on by.

I will likely have these bags in stock on Monday. Will post a follow up.

Is that Seal Beach Refuge closed to fishing? What about the rest of the harbor, or outside the harbor. I've never fished up there. I suppose I could fish Newport then come up PCH to Sunset Beach.

If you're just going out for some rockfish take a bag of ice or some block ice and place it in your hatch liner, this will keep your fish cool-cold for most of the day or until you get back to the launch.
