La Jolla shores tides

For La Jolla shores does the tide height determine the wave heights?

i think so?

waves seem to be smaller at low tide compared to high tide the same day.

This one does, see predicted vs observed

Good to know. I was planning on hitting LJ around 0600 tomorrow. Based on the TT, the launch should be a piece of cake and I will most likely dump coming back in if I return around noon.:(

Imo lj waves are slightly bigger at extreme high tides because the beach is slightly steeper the higher up the water goes.

the 3.7ft tide at noon won't make much difference in wave height, the mostly sw swell won't either.

strap your chit down so if you do roll its no big deal:paddleersmilie:
