The Deadliest Catch-

Anyone else into this show?
Those guys are nucking futs to go out in that chit!
Now I know why Alaska Crab /Lobster are soooo bucks up.
The new season starts tonight on Discovery. Looks like Mike Rowe from "Dirty Jobs" will be the host too.
I wonder which if any boats will go down this season?
Wooo hooo.

Yep, had to cancel Dancing with the Stars from the DVR to make room (don't tell the girlfriend... :vroam: ) Just wish that show was in HD, I guess they haven't found a suitable HD camera housing for alaskan crab fishing...:dontknow:

Best show by far on TV these days.

They could only film Northwestern, Cornelia Marie, Maverick and Time Bandit every season and it would be entertaining.

I watched the Season 2 wrap up and the new season opener. It is unbelievable how they routinely go out and fish in such horrendous conditions. I was thinking about this show when were making our first attempt to leave Tortuga on the San Carlos trip. I kept thinking what a puss I was for being nervous in conditions that would be considered "nice fishin' weather" in the Bearing Sea:embarassed: I've been up in the Aleutians in winter and it didn't look fun...of course, I was on an aircraft carrier. I don't know if I'd have the guts to go out and work in that year after year.
Deadliest Catch is one of the few reality shows that I care to watch. Really makes you appreciate what some people go through just to get your food.

Hell thats nothing. When I was in the Navy, on a mine sweeper, up there in Alaska if you got mail duty, you had to go to the bow of the ship with a gaffing hook, and snag the mail buoy, and wrestle it aboard. A mine sweeper is a small ship about the same size as a crab boat. Everyone wanted the mail buoy watch, because after you snagged the mail sack, you got a coffee cup half full of grog.
