Planning on getting another yak

I injured my upper back and shoulder last year in an auto accident. Sold my x factor because my wife thought id re injure myself. I miss it out there and was wondering if a hobie would be a better match since paddling would be at a minimum. Are they pretty stable?

total stable, I use a hobbie outback and love it

:iagree:

Firemn6111 is right. If you are used to the stability of the X-factor, then, you'll want to take a look at the Hobie Outback. Wanna try it before you buy it. Come by the shop and I can set you up with a demo.

Watch the weight on land though... Hobies are not light to carry on land.

Might be something to watch for if you have to load and unload on top of a car rack with shoulder or back injury.

Revolution has a better weight distribution than Outback and is easier to carry.

Halol,
What type of back and shoulder injuries do you have? Is paddling out of the question?

Also think about loading and unloading of the yak.

Ivan,

Hobies are the reason I go back into kayaking.

When I had a rotator-cuff tear, I had give up on
my FnD. The pedal power was the trick (with concessions).
I had to use my wife's station wagon to carry my hobie low enough.

Test load which ever yak you decide on, and remember you will
always have you use your paddles some time.

Just my 2 cents
