Went to the HOW event EARLY Sat morning...
Woke up later that afternoon and found this on my phone...
Hey Chad (Cbad)...Wally...Mike, was that just a dream or did we really fly down the beach w our kayaks chasing a bunch of birds and bait under the lights??? Must've been a dream cause I don't think Wally could run faster than me...someone please fill in the blanks...

They are there - our WSB grow out pens are just north of the Midway, and research trawls and returned heads show that when released some of the fish will hang out in the bay for years.

Thanks for the info! I've seen them and other members of Sciaenidae family closer to ocean and near mariners basin in MB, but never that size. Beautiful fish.

I never thought there were WSB that big in the bay and especially only 150 yards off the beach. Forget LJ.
When yours ran around the bridge pylon I thought you were going to lose it for sure. I don't know how in the hell you got it back to your kayak.
When I hooked up it took me right into the anchor lines of the moored boats. Soo pissed when I pulled the hook.
