surprise at the OEX Mission Bay tournament
 

this was not my catch, this was my buddy I was fishing with. Hooked this 22lb butt in ten feet of water on 10lb test line, small jig head fishing the OEX Mission Bay Tournament, of course it didn't count in the bass tournament but as his first halibut I would say not bad at all! It threw up a carcass of a spottie that might have been legal in the competition!

Nice Hali, There's been a few good ones taken over the years at the Bass tournaments. I got one of Similar size during the April tournament a few years ago. Congrats to your buddy, they are a lot of fun on the light line.

Oh BTW the beer was Much enjoyed, thanks again for that.
