The jackson kayaks are great boats in my opinion. I moved up to NorCal, redding, last year and have been fishing in lakes and rivers a lot. I was able to take the jackson coosa down the Moklume river in lodi and the lower Sacramento river through redding recently and was really impressed. I haven't paddled the Cuda yet but I have played around in the shop with one, the horizontal rod stagers are rad. Jackson has been making white water boats for a long time too. The seat looks like it would be unstable and thats what I thought till I put the seat in the high position and hit some fast moving water. The cuda would make an awesome boat if you fish 75% of the time in the harbor and 25% out in the open. If you want to see a great open ocean boat check out the RTM abaco.
