TacticalFishingCrew Report: 05/12/2012.
The crew had an EPIC day of fishing today, beautiful weather, calm waters, & hungry fish. Couldnt be any better than that.
Thank you for choosing "Tactical Sportfishing" today. We'll be starting off by drifting for some Rockfish and we'll target some sharks later in the day. We started off with two fishing boats, The Ascend & King Scupper Pro, later followed by Crazy Scrambler. Launched at the harbor by 6am and headed out to our fish hole for some Rockfish: http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/e...1336865495.jpg After about 30 mins of paddling we reach our first drift area: http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/e...1336865497.jpg I was dropping down a generic Lucanus Jig, dropper loopd with a glow lead head & strip squid. Got a nice tug and set the hook!: http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/e...1336865498.jpg First drift, first fish to show: http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/e...1336865502.jpg Got bit in the same area bringing this dude up, Croaker: http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/e...1336865505.jpg Then a dinky Starry Eyed Rockfish: http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/e...1336865507.jpg We wind up our lines to look for a new spot. On my first drop I get a nice tug!: http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/e...1336865509.jpg Felt some head shakes & even pulled a little drag! :reeling: I was expecting a nice 5lb Chuckle, but instead I get two decent size Chuckles!: http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/e...1336865511.jpg http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/e...1336865513.jpg http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/e...1336865514.jpg http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/e...1336865517.jpg Then I head to the galley to grab a snack after winding up so many times: http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/e...1336865731.jpg Then Vincent finally meets us up: http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/e...1336865733.jpg Novice kayak angler David finally lands a Taco Rockfish: http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/e...1336865747.jpg With the outgoing tide, you can see the dirty water being flushed out of the harbor. http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/e...1336865741.jpg Spotted this cool looking Jellyfish that was well over a foot wide: http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/e...1336865742.jpg http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/e...1336865744.jpg http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/e...1336865745.jpg I get hooked up again on more bottom fish, heres a nice bendo shot: http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/e...1336865909.jpg http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/e...1336865910.jpg http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/e...1336865734.jpg I end up with a nice stringer of Chuckles: http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/e...1336865736.jpg http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/e...1336865900.jpg We also met a couple of guys when we got back to shore, nice meeting you guys!
