You never know when nature calls...
Today I had a special opportunity save the life of another mammal in need. Around 9 am I noticed a baby dolphin alone with no mother. This made me a little curious. This dolphin kept surfacing every minute or so as well. I put away my gear and attempted to get closer to see what was wrong with him. It seems he had been tangled up badly with a large clump of fishing line. After multiple attempts to pedal up to him and free him myself I made the call to Sea World Rescue to aid in the rescue attempt. They advised me to follow him until they arrived which I gladly did. After a little over an hour of trailing the dolphin they arrived and saved this little guys life. It took me a while to figure out who to call so if you ever need assistance keep this number in your phone 800-541-7325. I had the chance to save a life and made the call. With out assistance he most likely would have died. A life changing experience for sure. You will never know what you will get! No YT, but I wouldn't trade today's fishing experience for a YT any day of the week. Happy trails little guy!

Awsome!!!

Atta boy Chuck. :cheers1: Cool story, and I'm glad you had the opportunity to help out a fellow fish hunter in need.
I always view porpoise on the paddle out as a good luck sign. They have lead me to the fish more than once, even when the conditions or opportunity were not good. I'm sure karma took a few notes today :cheers1: |
:you_rock::cheers1: going to add that number to my phone.

Way to go. Thanks!
I spend a lot of time watching those beautiful creatures and feeling lucky to be able to witness nature the way we do while fishing. I would have been right there with you. Thanks again, Mike |

Saw it on the news last night. Was that you in the kayak that it showed?
|
I see a fat YT in your future!!

fantasticly epic story!
thanks for that! please share with those that view hunters as inhumane, whereas most of us do indeed revere all life as shown perfectly here, we also must not let the bad apples overshadow the voice as actions such as this speak volumes. thanks again |
Awesome....!

Just read it on 10 news too. At least they mentioned a kayaker called Sea World. And gave you credit on video.
