Ok, so I have searched through old forums and didn't really find the answers I want, so: What are acceptable Amp Hours for a bait pump battery. Also, what happens if I hook up a 6 volt battery to a 12 v pump? I immagine that it just runs slower. I think that might be more simple than putting in a voltage drop. THANKS GUYS!

On my hobie bait tank I used a 6v 12 amp battery worked all day with no problem.

How many amps depends on the pump you use but generally a 8-9amps last all day.
