"Not Kayak Related" Fishing Chicken at the Bay
 

So I had quite a scare tonight. Walking the dog around Mission Bay, right by the Ski Beach boat launch. He's having a great time cruising around in the grass, away from the water. Then I notice something grabbed his attention. Next thing I know hes chewing on something (lucky him right, free street food!) I quickly intervene and attempt to grab the food from his mouth. At this time I notice that whatever he just attempted to swallow had fishing line attached to it.

My mind instantly goes into panic mode thinking he just inhaled a hook or lure. I grab his mouth and stop him from chewing or swallowing. Luckily he had just started on it and I was able to grab it out of his mouth with a little wrestling match.

Someone had tied a chunk of cooked chicken to fishing line with no hook or lure attached and left it. What in the hell would that have been used for other than fishing for dogs?

Crab nets bait?

I'll bet it was some kid at a picnic F'ing with the seagulls...

At least it was chicken...

That's how kids catch crabs in the rocks. Just like crayfishing.
