Is this going to work at all?
 

I bought a rod from a guy that sells tons of reels and rods all saltwater.

I was looking for a rod for a Daiwa Sealine 30x.

The guy took out the rods that he thought would work with that reel.

The one that seemed to look good was a shimano Talora TLA-70MC
so I bought it from him.

After doing a search, I found out that it is actually a freshwater rod for trolling lead core line??

I wanted to use this for casting iron.

Is this rod going to work at all?
