Sun Damage

Don't buy a kayak like this, even if the guy says it's "totally seaworthy"!

It's just some plastic welding done

Frankenyak....... Looks perfectly fine to me. Lol

bigbarrels 08-16-2013 02:20 AM

He forgot to put in add..... Trust Me, Totally sea worthy

WildernessWanker 08-16-2013 08:53 AM

I wouldn't float that thing in my pool let alone any body of salt water, but I would pay someone on a dare to take it on an Islander trip?!

chxh8me 08-16-2013 08:53 AM

But it comes with a kelp clip.

He is asking for more than I was for my scupper pro.... which is in 100x better shape. When I saw his, I figured mine would have sold immediately for what I was asking.
I assume this thing will never sell. But I'd love to know what he gets for it.

I have a feeling this is going to end up in someone that is new to kayakings hands thinking its a good deal and not knowing better and its going to end badly.... Hopefully not but I just have that feeling...

Raskal311 08-16-2013 09:29 AM

I couldn't get $350 for a yak that is 1000x better then that pos.

easyday 08-16-2013 09:52 AM

Id take it for 10 bucks and would try a surf launch just for fun

Raskal311 08-16-2013 10:23 AM

After you flip it and brake the top half off i'll take it for $5 and turn it in to a grow bed for my garden.

lol.. maybe the kelp clip is the only thing that keeps it from sinking?

Raskal311 08-16-2013 10:25 AM

Someone should email the guy the link to this page :D

mralbacore 08-16-2013 01:43 PM

It should be worthless, period!! :ack2:

jorluivil 08-16-2013 01:50 PM

Does it float?

Old Man in the Sea 08-16-2013 04:01 PM

that yellow bubble gum should hold - just put 2 coats of marine varnish on it :D

PE.rider 08-16-2013 05:29 PM

Hmmm. I wonder what the recycle value is on that thing?

easyday 08-17-2013 06:44 PM

I emailed the guy he is firm on his price and said he would put it in the surf agai any other kayak out there.

He's not even including a PFD, which would probably be the only solid floating equipment in the package. After seeing this kayak and his interpretation of "sea worthy," I'm guessing his backup yak is a boogie board!

Hunters Pa 08-19-2013 07:56 AM

I bet Andy could fix it.
