Will these work in LJ???
1 Attachment(s)
I haven't been to LJ yet, but I do plan on it soon. I have done most my yak fishing in Maui. We had no kelp just open water. Different fish but I did land a couple Mahi's on one of these. Most the time it was live bait but if non around use what you got. I was wondering if these would work in LJ. Just trying to get a fill for the fish and conditions. Thanks

Fish them.

Sure they would work, but there's usually plenty of live bait there for you to use most of the time so make bait.

Troll those rapalas off the edge of the canyon and prepare for a thresher!

Ill throw that waxwing right on top of kelp and drag it through holes for BIG calico. You would be surprised at how weedless those things are. Use braid line though. I would say they would also work great for yellow trail on the surface since they only go down about two feet but I wouldn't be speaking from experience there

Nope.. So I will gladly take them off your hands :D

Those will work anywhere of So. Cal.

Those Waxwings are GREAT. I had a blast yesterday north of Dana Point with a small Bone White Waxwing. Was fishing my Curado 300ej and a Terez waxwing rod. Snagged a bunch of little 1 to 4 lb Bonita, a bunch of little pencil barries and I caught a big honking calico on the wax wing as I was clearing a small birdsnest and it was sinking.
BTW, the Curado/Terez combo is absolutely flawless. |

Plugs like those work about every where. The trouble I have found with larger plugs like those is you have troll them fairly fast to get them to swim right. Mike
