This is way cool.. Thinking about getting it.. Tell me I'm not crazy please..
so was printing pictures on Costco site and decided to browse bikes and came across this neat little device.. Of course my head only thinks about kayaks and started thinking of how to make this work for my kayak.. More so getting it on and off my car's roof rack which is a pain in the ass when you have a stealth 14..
it holds 125 pounds so thinking it will work :-). Let me know boys.. http://t.costco.com/Garage-Gator-Mot...100079883.html just saw this model that holds 220 pounds.. And remote http://t.costco.com/.product.11378547.html |
That's a really cool way of storing bikes. Might take some fabrication work to make a it able to balance a kayak. Although if you got two of them (one on each end of the yak) then it'd be pretty easy... just hook it to the front and back handles?

Or I guess just one of the 9' ones would work running parallel above your car. Cool idea man.

Great idea, here's some other choices, one of many.

It would be great if there was a high enough ceiling in the garage. Then just matter of lifting it off of the car and back.

looks like a bit more work to make it work for a kayak and remote wire is short.. Will go check it out..
have high enough garage to drive car in with kayak on top so no issue there since garage has space for 3 cars.. Quote:
