11/9 team umbrella corp. newport harbor
 

we hit newport by 6 am on the water by 6:15. decided to stay in the harbor to benefit from the good weather causing a temp rise. slow start in the morning on crankbaits (kvd sexy shad, frenzy black n chrome) and swimbaits. hit some favored classic spots had a few beers and wide open bite on short halibut and former keeper size spottys (on the drop shot) couldnt kick em. caught in total

32 short halibut (largest 16")
1 sandbass (4")
37 spottys (largest 15")
off the water at 4:45 good day, cold beer, nice cigars, and tight lines...:reel:
