CaCa occurath, happens on the cattle boats every year.

lowprofile 11-12-2013 08:53 AM

dumbass. never have a locked drag while trolling and leash your gear.

or maybe that's just a kayak thing.

blitzburgh 11-12-2013 08:56 AM

Bwahahahaha I love the slo-mo replay..."OHHH S###IIIT!!!" bwahahahahaha

His technique for switch hand positions from his "trolling method" to fighting mode sucks...
If he's going to do it like that at least leash the reel so it can't go over...

I have witnessed this quite a few times. Twice we actually recovered rods when other passengers caught the dropped rods lines.

My favorite was one time on a charter on the Chubasco II we had a guy no shit lose 3 rods, all custom wrapped with Trinidad's. The kicker is that none of them were his, they belonged to a buddy who was on that trip with him. True story, one of the craziest, stupidest things that ever happened when I worked on that boat.

I'm a little partial to the smug look and cavalier attitude before the loss. Get cocky and shite happens!

I have to agree with you. He had the look of, "I'm the best on this boat." I wished we could have heard the conversations following that.

jorluivil 11-12-2013 01:49 PM

I'm sure he didn't want that rod/reel.

wiredantz 11-12-2013 02:26 PM

Ggiannig89 11-13-2013 03:58 PM

the guy throwing his hands on his head is the best part. hahahahaha

YakDout 11-13-2013 04:25 PM

He's never seen it happen before in his life? I tend not to believe that if he has been using that tactic his whole life.
