Jimmy, looks like you are over 1/2 way to your GOAL.......Let's go guys, put him over the top. A lot of us are pre-diabetic or diabetic, or have someone close who is. Help support each other, this is US we are talking about.

Thank you all for donating. If you have diabetes, or know someone with it, you know how terrible this is. I watched my grandparents die from complication with diabetes. Each of them needed medical care to save their lives, but because of what the Diabetes was doing to them, they could not be treated and eventually died.

It's not too late to donate, please help if you can.

My father has diabetes, but giving money to non-profit fronts for uber wealthy pharma companies to find a cure for something is a scam. Sorry but it's true. :(

Alan's comment is great, he has his opinion, and I've heard it before. However I know the funding helps. I use to work for one of the many companies that are trying to produce products for a cure, or to at least help with the illness.

Thank you everyone for the help on raising the funds for the help and or the cure of this. One of the biggest cures that many of already have is eating healthy and getting exercise. Kayaking no mater how you do it, Pedal or Paddle, is a great workout. Those who are born with Type 1 and or develop that over life, there is so much that's being done to help them, and these funds go to helping that out. I know some have their negative thoughts or feelings towards certain companies, so I ask you research and help out where you feel is best.

A little less than a month away and we do the ride to help fight Diabetes. The donating doesn't have to stop however. If you know someone fighting this illness and you wish to donate to the cause Feel free to do so, if you wish to pray, or support in your own way, that's also great. I do want to thank everyone who has donated and pushed me above the goal that I originally started, and helped me get on my way.
