Newport rock fishing
I've never fished Newport before and I'd like to go this weekend and catch some rockfish. Can anyone point me in the direction I should go to find rock piles. Just some friendly advice so I at least know I'm headed the right way.
Have any threshers been seen recently? Is it worth trolling my Rapala on the way out to the grounds? |
I am also very interested in where everyone fishes on their kayak.
I think it would be very useful and helpful for newbies if there is a collection/thread of map with markers on it. |

Having a fish finder and knowing how to read the bottom help a lot. Must use at least 4 oz to 6 oz weight dropper loop. Good luck

Well if this blind squirrel can't find a nut when I got out. next time ill be in my boat poaching every spot I see someone fishing. I may not be able to read my fishfinder, but my binoculars work just fine.

The beauty of rock fishing with 8oz lead is it does a number to the clear coat when you chuck them at power boaters.

Leads expensive. I'd love for you to give up your hole and donate some fresh lead. Don't worry though ill be sure to trade you. So you like wakes and paintballs?
