Ghost Shrimp

Has anyone use live ghost shrimp for bait if so any luck? I used them for the first time today in the Huntington harbor and i hooked up 8 bass and 1 halibut. The halibut was undersized threw him back but he put up a good fight. The bass were a foot size great fight on light tackle. I have to say i will be using the live ghost shrimp more often works really well.

I use them mostly in the surf, never tried them in the harbor, they are great bait

GS gets a lot of bites near kelp forests... but since they're kinda delicate, they get picked off by baitfish before hitting target zones.

Ghost shrimp are great baits in the surf and bays. Never used them in the ocean but I'm sure they would work. Ghosties in the bays are like live squid in the ocean, every thing will eat them. They're a great bait for bone fish in south sad bay. Mike

We have a creek behind our condo with literally thousands of crayfish. I've thought about trapping some and using them at La Jolla.
