save yourself some money and aggravation go with scotty products for your rod holders.

Now mounting your fishfinder that's another story.

I recently started using Railblaza

http://www.railblaza.com/

I really like it because it has a lock in position.

I bought a used pa14 that had ram mounts..slipped all over. I replaced them all with Scotty except the FF.

Go with Scotty's and Orca rod holders.

i dislike very much the ram ball style holders. they do not hold up well, and will slip. instead, if you want to stick with RAM, get these .

I have used all the mentioned Ram, Scotty, and Railblaza mounts. I have 2 reasons why I don't use the Railblaza products, the mount looks to put too much torque on the mount area of the Kayak, and the company has used some questionable advertising images stolen from other companies to push their products.

Ram - I like them, but they do slip.

Scotty - I like the best due to the wide variety of equipment that you can use with them.

Well, I didn't pay too much attention to the advertising, but just that you could mount these things anywhere that's what sold me!

As far as the torque, you can install them two ways, from the top or drill a hole to do a flush mount.
just my 2cents.

When I had my Moken I had these all over my Kayak. I was an ambassador for the company that sold them. I know them very well and used to push them on here about a year ago.

I too like the versatility of the mounts, but I prefer the Scotty mounts.
