Wheeleez cart for Hobie Outback

I'm considering buying a Wheeleez Beach Cart to move my Hobie Outback around. Does anyone know if I'll need the optional Wheeleez Rail Kit to stabilize the Outback?

Also, is it possible to swap the wheels on this cart between the large grey beach wheels that come with it and the black foam-filled wheels (which I'm guessing would be better for using on hard surfaces)?

I'd like to be able to switch the different wheels back and forth so I can use whatever wheels work best on the surface I'm pulling on.

Thanks in advance.

Yes get the rail kit (crossbars) for it. They will serve 2 purposes, to help stabilize your kayak, and to prevent the wheels from collapsing.

Im sure jorge will chime in soon with all the details. :D

Good to know about the rail kit. Thanks. How about being able to swap the different types of wheels if/when needed?

Tony has a way of doing the easy things I do, easier.

I do that now. I have a set of the sand wheels and some regular dolly style wheels. Obviously, I use the sand wheels for the sand and use the dolly wheels when I'm fishing places like cabrillo or redondo.

Whatever you do, don't buy the wheelez dolly type wheels, they do not have bearings so it takes a little more effort to pull the kayak plus they cost a lot more than a typical set of wheels at harbor Freight. I'll post some pics later tonight of how my cart is set up.

That'd be great. Thanks Jorge.

Jorge did you make that rail kit yourself out of PVC or is that a kit that they sell for that purpose?

I made it myself out of pvc, it cost me less than $10.

When I was a kid on a bike...we used to call these kick-out pegs. Jorge has also raked my ankles going past me in the dark trying to be the first to launch. . https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-3...o/DSCN7105.JPG
