non-yak YFT advice?
 

(Forgive me for the non yak post).

I'm going on a friend's private boat tomorrow targeting Yellowfin.

We're planning on trolling sardines (and/or possible anchovies).

I'm wondering if there is other gear I should have in my arsenal to diversify and/or as a fallback?

recommendations?

I always do a 20/25 setup 30, 40 and 60....the 60. Majority of the yft are in the 20lb range but bigger models and bft are around. ringed hooks are good...if you are trolling maybe get some old school cedar plugs or feathers. Or try the hot new lure halco max 130...I haven't used it myself but heard lots of good thing about it. Also irons and megabait lures are fun when bite is wide open or when bait quality suks
