A Great start to the New Year...
 

This is a boat report but it has a good twist to it, so I thought I'd share...

A beautiful evening, no swell, just a little wind at sunset, then it just flattened out for a perfect night!

As we pulled up to the reef a pair of Whales (Mom and Baby) surfaced nearby and did a synchronized deep dive with both flukes out of the water together...WOW...what a sight!
I took the neighbor and his son out hooping tonight and we scored. They were blown away, it was triple limits before we had picked up the second set....BUT...then I said something about the report card for the kid and what a great deal it was to get that extra limit for only $9.50...SILENCE...Dad says "kids are supposed to have a report card too?...but the lady at Big 5 said that they don't need a fishing license". soooo, we motored back over to the reef and with a tear in my eye we dumped a bucket of 7 nice legals.
We pulled the rest of the nets up and continued to throw back legals...The kid said we were going to get a big one in the last net and I guess he had his wish granted.....

Wow that's amazing!! Nice going taking the kid out. That smile is priceless

Holy cow!

Kid is STOKED! And he learned a very valuable lesson about ethics. Good for you and his dad for sticking by the rule of law.
