30# grafighter

Hey guys. A friend of mine who spins rods offered to help me make a rod that looks really cool.

I mainly fish YT off my boat and try off my kayak sometimes (although I've never had any luck doing it off the kayak).

I want to spin a grafighter to fish 30# line. Do you think the 700ML or 700M is a better blank to go with?

Thanks

I have caught a lot of YT on a Graffighter 700.xl and bluefin also. I think the Ml would be the better blank to go with. I am thinking of picking up one of those when I am back in the states in September.

Six in one hand, half a dozen in the other. :)

I have both...I like the 700M for 30-40# line for YT & WSB.

The 700ML is my go to hali rig. I fish lighter lines with rod.
Both are great.

ML is a better 30# blank IMHO. I've got one around here somewhere I'm gonna wrap for myself. Another option is the Rainshadow RCLB70M. Check one out, very similar in action and construction, and a little easier on the wallet.

For live bait fishing, I'd go 700ml. Plenty of backbone to bring 'em up

Played with both at Turner's today. I couldn't tell a difference in the power or action. Seemed like the exact same rod with a different label haha.

So clearly they'll both do great with 30# line.
