Gettin Back to Yakkin

Hey guys and gals. I'm in the market for another kayak. I had a hobie but my knees gone bad. I was looking at a Malibu Xfactor and interested in some opinions from people who've had experience on it. How's it paddle, speed, maneuver etc...Is it any wetter than the rest?

I have an older Malibu Stealth 12 and I really like it. Very stable. It's one drawback is that it is pretty slow compared to Ocean Kayaks, Wilderness, etc... But the stability is what sold me on it as I'm not in it for speed. As I fish mostly the bays, this is preferable for me.

I don't have any experience with the X Factor, but it's a couple of feet longer than the Stealth and I think that it's an inch wider. Draw your own conclusions as to what effect that might have on speed. But if speed isn't a factor in your kayak buying preferences, Malibu makes a great yak! Just my 2 cents....

X Factor

Killer deal on a 2014 x factor on craigslist san diego, boats. I have an x factor and a PA 14. I like the stability of the x factor (will carry 600 lbs.), not the fastest yak but who is racing anyway? bosco
