Dana point offshore
 

Hey All,
Took the adventure island offshore for my second attempt and made it about ten miles southwest of dana point yesterday. About 8 miles down something grabs my bait and starts running. I furled the sail engaged the drag and had about 10 seconds of glory until... snap:mad: After that all I saw were empty kelp paddies and dolphins no big flocks of birds and baitballs just empty dead water. I have no idea what I hooked into either. Got home and looked at the reports, I should have gone straight south and missed em by a bit. Guess I'll just keep trying. Likely going again this weekend out of wherever the fish are closest to shore if anyone wants to meet up.
