Launched around 6:30. Had a really hard time catching bait. Actually didn't catch any bait period. Quite unfortunate considering I haven't been able to get out much this summer while the YT fishing has been so good. Anyways, spent a solid 3 hours working along the kelp line and couldn't get even a tap on the sabiki. I didn't see anyone pulling in bait left and right but I assume I was doing SOMETHING wrong. I've never been skunked on bait...until now. Gave up around 11:30 and paddled in. Might give it another shot over Labor Day weekend.

I got skunked on bait a few weeks ago and then put squid marinated in this stuff called buttjuice..no kidding made by procure. It helped big time, had 13 greenbacks in 30 minutes, I am a believer in it big time.
