Rules have changed!

this year's WCW have changed in response to members suggestions

In the WCW tradition this put's more emphasis on who wants it the most?

The big change for this year is at the end of each month the biggest fish caught in each of the 3 categories will receive 1 point toward their possible 12 point total for the year in each category. The angler with the most points in each of the 3 separate categories will win each title, not the single biggest fish.

Keep in mind we do not need to see your scale shot!

The 2 photos should be:

Each angler’s submission must be accompanied by one photo of the angler with the fish, preferably on the kayak. (selfies no problem need to show at least a small portion of you, could be as little as your fingers, your leg etc)

In addition, for each fish submitted, the weight needs to be supported by photo of the fish on a measuring tape showing its total length in inches.

The fish must be weighed on an accurate scale. (but your word that is was is all that is needed.)

So each month, the contest starts over, or does the biggest fish from the previous month still rein champion? And you have to beat that fish to become in first place?

Good point, Each month is scored separately so on the 1st resets to that month only, Right now the 1 point per 3 divisions is up for grabs halibut 1, WSB 1, YT 1). On Feb 1 we start over for that point per division. The KING will not be the single biggest fish caught, but the most consistent angler with the greatest numberof points per 3 separate divisions. Trophies will be awarded the same per the 3 KINGS meaning the one with the most accumulated halibut points will be Halibut King and so on.

Who's stupid Idea was this anyways...?!!!

Wait a minute....it was mine !

I think this will be great and simple to track. No longer will a single fish win all, just the most consistent angler to post up wins. The rules are simple, no extra points no bonuses no bullshit. Biggest fish in each category wins 1 point for that month. At the end of the year whoever has the most points per category will win the title. This way we can have fun with it all year instead of have fun with it on dec 31, 11:59pm.

Agreed Tony and thanks for the idea, hoping to make things more interesting and get more people playing along!
