So I called our Local Chef ..........
..... about how to prepare this fat one.
http://www.bigwatersedge.com/bwegall.../IMG_06102.jpg Caught on 4-6-16 at 8:15 AM on a fly lined greenback in 60 feet of water. Not super long but really fat. Around 26 pounds. Talking with Yani on the phone, I told him that I wanted to make shish kabobs with my recipe of brown sugar, pineapple juice, and soy sauce. Then he asked if I had tried his sauce for his Yellowtail Steak recipe which I had not. It sounded super good so I had to try it. A very simple recipe..... 1/3 cup of honey juice of 3 limes dash of hot sauce I also added a little dill and salt. http://www.bigwatersedge.com/bwegall.../IMG_0639s.jpg Well I have to say this was the tastiest yellowtail that I have ever eaten. For those of you that do not have your own personal chef, just go to fishermansbelly.com for Yani's tasty recipes ..... |
Like. Yannis recipes are fantastic, and usually easy to do.

Nice one! Looks like a great recipe too. Never really thought about YT kabobs, but its firm enough that I bet it works great.
|
Nice fish, and kabobs. The last few yellows we caught were long and skinny, we much prefer the shorter really fat ones.
|
Bravo Chris, in and out. I like it!
