July 2015 there was a post here with the below pic of something found in the belly of a YT. ..His fish had an external sore with puss....my fish had sea lice but no sores. No one ever answered the post just some alien references. Meat looks fine but concerned if I prepare sushi.

One of my recent fish had that. Not sure what it is. Froze my fillets for two days, made sushi for four people a few days after. No one got sick. Hopefully no long term consequences. :sifone:

Hopefully someone here can ID this growth....i have not paid much attention to guts until I saw that 2015 post. I hope it's nothing but now I'm thinking about microscopic parasites.

Most fish have structures at the junction of the stomach and gut call pyloric caecea. That's what's in the photo. Normal healthy fish. Mike

I was just about to post pyloric ceca after looking at fish anatomy....thx mike I feel relieved and I didn't have to use a lifeline to my mother in law's friend in japan who deals with fish.

Was worried about giving it to neighbors and friends for a minute.

Thx again for putting a nail in it
