I think even if you were throwing surface irons you would still catch halibut.

What was the weight of the halibut? It looks pretty meaty.

Yep, I saw a pup come out of the water about 100' feet from me, he went down and when he came back up I could see he was facing me. Normally, I would reel my lines up and save my bait but this time (for whatever reason) I decided to leave my lines in the water. A few seconds later my rod gets a light shake, a few seconds after that my rod goes bendo.........DAMN SEA LION!!!! When I get the sea lion to color it magically turned into a WSB......hate it when that happens.

If you are fishing for sea lions you are supposed to release the by catch

you can make a turbot and a whitefish look pretty big with camera tricks
