Gummi Worms?

I was watching an episode of How It's Made and they were making Gummi Bears and Gummi Worms. The narrator commented that some fisherman use Gummi Worms as bait.

Is this true? Do you guys ever use it? Ever heard of it working?

In the vid the dude catches 3 lb bass in a twizzler. Gave me some ideas. Take a twizzler n stuff it with scent. Or leave the air in it and use it as a floating worm. Might be worth a shot. I know a while back some one posted about taking fish oil capsules and punchings a couple holes in them to release scent. Mike
