I wish the city would build a kayak launch at shelter island
 

And remove that sand berm...in the existing kayak launch....i am handicap and have to use the boat launch to launch my canoe. Seeing how big kayaking is now....money for the city

What would be the difference between a kayak launch and the sandy dinghy beach next to the concrete launch?

McCall St is another easy sandy launch from Pt. Loma. If you go early there's parking available. It's a little closer to the bait barge.

So you can drive on the sand or remove the curb
