I like the metal mesh reinforcement. What is the beige paste, glue? I have welded my share of cracks, but using a soldering iron and zip ties or trimmings from previous installs for material

It's a hobie plastic welder I got from Andy oex sunset beach
I don't no about any glue. But it works good, its was a cold day and I used a heat gun to. I have used harbor freight plastic welders and this works way better. It's best if you melt the mesh into kayak. There's no wasting of plastic rod. Holding plastic on the side does not work as well and takes for ever as apposed to pushing round rods down the center.

Zip ties is a good idea
Clear probably doesn't show as bad maybe ill see if they fit through the hole in my iron.
Before I got the hobie welder, I patched my canoe heating up a butter knife with a propane torch, and put mesh that got the job done to, it was like cauterization of a wound and flattened out some bumps. |

I have blue cut outs from my old Malibu double
It's thick and melts slow I thought about cutting it into strips I found my tin snips after I finished the job.
By the way best duck tape ever made is 622 shurtape I personally used to use it to mask new windows on building's. Put it on one time and take it off after finish. No glue residue from tape |
