Shore camping and fishing - Mid March

I have Thursday and Friday off work St Patricks day weekend. Thinking it would be fun to plant on a beach for some multi-day fishing. I'd seep in the car or a tent. Not afraid of surf launches. Any suggestions on locations? I'd be open to a bit of driving if it's worthwhile. Thanks.
