And it doesn't hurt to have a yellow Hobie. Way to slay em.

How you secure that fish?

How did you secure that big fish on your Hobie Revo ?
Under deck, on lap ?

Nice fish...

Even better on that set-up, a fair fight indeed.

Thanks guys. I tried various ways to secure the fish but i found that in my lap instilled the most confidence as i almost lost the fish overboard trying other ways. In the last month i had just switched from a Big Game to the Revo, im loving it but still trying to figure out how to store everything.

This is my first La Jolla WSB. I grew up fishing in Santa Cruz, where there is a healthy but very stealthy population, moved to Huntington a few years back and caught a few off the Newport Coast but i would have to say that there is something special about La Jolla that keeps me making the drive.

I always love specs in reports so here they are.
Shimano Trevala Light action Rod
Shimano Calcutta 200gtb
30lb PowerPro
25lb Leader
Mack
Thumb
Some SC techniqe haha

Ha! That was an excellent "SIKE" as I was totally surprised to see that big WSB!

Can't wait to see your next "Nothing to report".

la jolla is a good drive from huntington, but with a catch like that, it makes it worth the drive!:luxhello:

Gotta love the travala as a bass rod. It definitely absorbs the biscuits head shakes...:D

Yeah she was barely hooked in the corner of the mouth, i feel like i would lost her had i hooked her on one of my Calstars. A nail biter for sure. Good Times.
