Took the kids and my brother in law out a couple of weekends ago in search of some grey whales. Conditions were perfect. Didn't see any whales but was able to put the little man on some "big" fish.

Here's my daughter and brother in law chasing down the many dolphin in the area.

Meanwhile, my 3 year old Morgan's itching to pull on some fish with Calstar's Lightning McQueen jig stick spooled with 20 feet of 40# test (that's all it could hold). Actually, it's factory spooled....

Perfect day on the water....kid's had a blast!! Note: All fish released unharmed except for a little death grip to some.

Bummbed morgans wingamn had a cast, JT would have loved it....

Dude, so stoked for you. The last couple of years and the next 10 or so will be the best of your life. Make as many of those moments as you can and drink it all in. That is what its all about in the end.

On a side note...there may not be a squid run this year so don't get too excited boys.

Warmer water means less squid recruitment usually... el nino :doh:

you might be right with this one, 08 was a great squid year, and a cold water year.
hmmmm.

I'm all over this! I have a 5 year old daughter. She goes into the bays with my, but simply will not go out into the ocean.

Oh my! That last picture with the smile and death grip on that fish is absolutely priceless! Better get to the store and buy a big frame for that sweet picture!

I would love to help put this together...so many of us have kids and enjoy the bays...not many "BIg Fish" photos... but a hell of alot of "BIG SMILES"

No kids of my own(nor plans for them:D) but I cannot wait for my nephews to be old enough to take fishing, and to the desert, and to baja, and well all the great places around here!
