Didn't eat the chicken
 

Last night I told my wife I was going fishing in the morning. She said she'd thaw some chicken! Oh the shame!

I needed to bring home some dinner to recover my pride.

I went out this morning early and cruised outside the kelp for a while but it seemed pretty slow, so I paddled south into the kelp for some bottom fishing. Hoping for lingcod. I caught two bocaccio that I released and two calicos. Kept one nice calico for dinner.

By 11 I was way down off Windansea, but there was a nice stiff southwest breeze at my back all the way in.

On the beach it seemed like I had the only fish. I guess afternoons are where its at these days.
