Thought I'd share some rods I've built lately...
 

Here are some of the latest pictures of the rods I have been working on. I have been finishing up my 9’ Kencore jig stick that I wrapped in Rasta Colors. After fishing it unfinished for a few months, I finally got around to working on the cross wrap. It is actually the first cross wrap that I have ever done… boy they are time consuming, and a pain to do! Haha
I probably spent 6- 8 hours working on it, and in the end it is not as straight as I’d have liked, oh well, it was my first rod anyways. (I have since built a bunch of other rods) All I need to do now is figure out how to tie a Turk’s head, and it will be finished.

The second rod is a Calstar GRFTR 700xl. I am wrapping it in Mexican (or in my case Italian :D) colors, I did gold accents next to the green and red guide wraps. Hopefully this weekend I’ll get around to finishing up the butt wrap, and the tip top.

I know it that's long time
I've been wrap rod for 10 years ......but not anymore

If anyone is on the fence about a custom rod/ repair, I'll vouch for Tyler. He does great work and is a stand up guy.

Now if I can only decide which calstar blank to buy.....;)
